![]() This is perhaps the most unreliable software I have ever used. Overall, It can do most things you need although it may take longer with this software than others. Other people in my firm who don't have that experience struggle mightily using this software. I have a background in CAD drafting which has helped in being a successful user. We are able to create professional looking designs with this software, but it is unreliable and cumbersome to use. Plant symbols can occasionally be difficult to distinguish as well, as many can be very similar. Some of the fill features are a bit clunky and can affect design legibility. I think the look of the final product could be finessed for a nicer, hand-drawn look. ![]() My clients LOVE this feature, as it makes it easy to quickly show them what I have in mind for their property when their new landscape matures, and is far easier to envision than a 2-D aerial design on paper. I also really enjoy using the PRO Landscape Photo Editor to provide my clients with a realistic view of what I have in mind for their property. Unlike some other products, plant database information is linked directly to the symbols on your plan, which helps with ease of use and keeping track of your plants. I most like that this product is developed specifically for landscape professionals, and is easy to learn and use. ProLandscape provides a professional looking output without any CAD experience required. The price point is right for those just getting started, especially with no monthly fees to worry about early on. When labelled areas or lengths are modified (stretched or shrunk), associated labels are recalculated at the same time as reports (schedules/bills of quantity) contained in or associated with the same drawing.I recommend this product to all the new designers I speak with. The more sophisticated landscape design software solutions automate the process of generating reports (schedules/bills of quantity) from intelligent data in the drawing such intelligence is usually contained within labels (annotations) which include, in the case of planting, automatic calculation routines to determine the number of individual plants based on plant spacings (centres) per area or length. Professional landscape design software requires detailed information to be output for contract documentation, which will usually constitute drawings, specifications and reports (schedules/bills of quantity). VisionScape's VirtualProperty Architect.Idea Spectrum's Realtime Landscaping Architect.Since the advent of the personal computer, several software packages have come into existence. The former is usually aimed at simple visualization of a garden design, whilst the latter provides tools that allow stylistic representations of a design to be accurately labelled and dimensioned for contractors to interpret and land authorities or local government to sight and approve or otherwise. There are two levels of software available, amateur and professional. ![]() ![]() Landscape design software is used by landscape architects, landscape designers and garden designers to create two dimensional to 3 dimensional planting, softworks, groundworks and hardworks plans before constructing a landscape.
